P2. Enable all to engage effectively with education through increased investment and development of our digital education spaces
Facilitating effective approaches to education requires a strong foundation of support, resource, spaces, and technology that enable experiences to remain flexible and resilient to unforeseen change. The quality and consistency of our supporting infrastructure across the institution should be seen as a key enabler that paves the way for further development, ambition, and success. Not all components of our digital education spaces will be used to the same level or consistency between staff and students, it is still vitally important that all elements are up to date, supported, and a have clear process for improvement.
Our ongoing use of technology and digital spaces will be informed by comprehensive research, user feedback, and effectively supplement our core educational experiences. Ensuring investment in the right tool for the right job and developing solutions in line with our collective needs, leads to a stronger foundation upon which staff and students can feel more supported in achieving their everyday ambitions.
P2.1 Ensure the basic requirements of our education spaces are consistently met across the institution and invest further in necessary support services to maintain effective development
P2.2 Develop connected online experiences for staff and students to communicate and engage with available resources and services
P2.3 Respond appropriately and effectively to the needs of staff and students and make sure all members of the University have access to the right tool for the right job
P2.4 Invest further in digital education spaces and technology supporting physical spaces to enable versatile methods of teaching and learning
P2.5 Review adoption of new technologies thoroughly to more effectively meet needs of staff and students whilst mitigating potential risks and missed opportunities
